I’m Charles Rangeley-Wilson and this is my blog for all things fishy.
I’ve been writing about fly fishing and travel since the late 1990s. My work has been published in magazines like The Field and Gray’s Sporting Journal, Trout and Salmon, Waterlog, Fallon’s Angler, Fly Rod and Reel and others.
I’ve written a couple of books on fishing and travel (you’ll find details on my main site) Somewhere Else and The Accidental Angler. The latter was also a four-part BBC series in which I went looking for fishy adventure, history and culture in London, Bhutan, Brazil and India.
I’m working on another fishing/travel book. It’ll be done some time.
And my book on fish and British history (just finished) will be out in late 2018.
Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy the the stuff I’ll post on here from time to time.
